Here's the Benefits of Membership:

  1. NETWORKING: Regularly scheduled events Southern Exposure our annual retail and foodservice conference and expo (held in late February/early March and our fall conference (held in September) provide excellent networking opportunities. Council members from ten Southeast states will enjoy a unique opportunity to network and tap into invaluable sources of professional ideas.

  2. EDUCATION: Our “Educational Road Show” events are held each summer in various cities throughout the Southeast. These educational seminars address major industry issues & trends. Educational workshops are also held at Southern Exposure and our annual fall conference.

  3. COMMUNICATION: Regularly scheduled newsletters are sent via email to all members and this web site will provide a communication vehicle to share information and resources and include updates on current SPC events and activities.

  4. BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT: Our annual conference & expo Southern Exposure as well as our fall conference provide a great opportunity to showcase companies and provide an educational forum for seminars and guest speakers.

  5. COMMUNITY SERVICE: The SPC is most proud of being able to allocate a percentage of funds generated from these events, sponsorships and membership to support charitable causes in the Southeastern communities. Please click on the community link to view some of these worthwhile projects.
  6. In addition to the above all members in good standing can attend all SPC events at the reduced members rates.
  7. All SPC members are listed on the SPC website which has a member search program that can be used to search for members by classification (grower/shipper, retailer, foodservice), by commodities or by region or by state.
  8. Any SPC member in good standing is eligible to apply for our annual members scholarship program. These scholarships are available for the member, his or her children and grandchildren. We currently award ten $2000.00 scholarships each June.

There are now two kinds of membership:

  1. INDIVIDUAL - Individual Membership Application
    Entitles the individual member to all the membership benefits of the council.

  2. CORPORATE - Coporate Membership Application
    Entitles those listed on the corporate application to all the membership benefits of the council. Corporate memberships are available for one to five members, six to ten members and eleven to fifteen members.
