Tenth Anniversary Celebration
November 6-7, 2009
We hope that you will be able to join us at our fabulous Tenth Anniversary Celebration this fall at beautiful Chateau Elan. We have a grand weekend of events planned to commemorate this milestone for the Southeast Produce Council.
I was there at the beginning and was one of the original six who served on the founding committee of the council. I am truly amazed at the progress we have seen in our short ten year history. At this time I would like to say thank you to all of you! None of this would have been possible without the support of our valued members and the diligent efforts of all of our directors and committee members both past and present. I hope to see many of you at the celebration weekend.
“Southern Comfort” is our chosen theme for the weekend. In planning for this gala it was our intent to have this celebration truly reflect the warm, vibrant “personality” of the South.
Some of the events include a review of the history of the council. Friday’s keynote luncheon will feature comments from some of those individuals who have played such an integral part in our success. Ronnie De La Cruz, noted speaker, will also reflect upon the changes in our industry over the past ten years. He will also share some insight on what we may expect over the next ten years. Be sure to arrive early enough to attend the luncheon as we take this trip down memory lane and also take a look into our future.
Holding true to our Southern roots we will kick off Friday evening with our Gala Opening Party featuring country music star Sammy Kershaw. Sammy hails from south Louisiana and has had some great country music hits over the years. Don’t miss this great opportunity to see Sammy up close and personal!
The Headliners will be the musical entertainment at the Presidents Dinner Dance on Saturday evening. The Headliners will be performing “Carolina Beach Music” as well as other great hits from the 70’s and 80’s.
Please be sure to register early and make your hotel reservations now. This event may sell out fast. All registrations and hotel reservations are to be made through our website.
We have several sponsorship opportunities available for the Tenth Anniversary Celebration. We will also be producing a Commemorative Tenth Anniversary Journal which will be given to all attendees. Advertising opportunities are also available for the journal. We appreciate your continued support!
I look forward to seeing you at Chateau Elan.
Sincerely,
Tom Page, President

We would like to thank all of our exhibitors, retail and foodservice attendees and all of our sponsors for helping us make Southern Exposure 2009 our best conference to date.
There were a total of 196 exhibits and over eleven hundred in attendance.
Feedback from our post conference surveys has been very positive and we will be reviewing all comments and suggestions as we prepare for Southern Exposure 2010.
Virtually all attendees and exhibitors agree that the expo should be limited to two hundred exhibits for all future conferences. Therefore the Southern Exposure committee as well as the board of directors has made the decision to do this starting in 2010.
All past exhibitors will be given the opportunity to register in advance. On September 30, 2009 any remaining exhibit space will be made available to new exhibitors.
Any past exhibitor who is planning on exhibiting at Southern Exposure 2010 should register as soon as possible. Please note the deadline date of September 30 as mentioned above.
Any new company or organization that would like to exhibit should contact us first for availability. Any available space will be assigned starting on October 5, 2009.
